Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J.K. Rowling, Mary GrandPré Ok so I know after re-reading this final installment of this epic tale of a heroic boy that it would be sad.I am sad it's over, but at the same time, I'm glad it is. Ironic and bittersweet. After all the characters that died (I didn't just want to say people because animals and other magical creatures perished as well) I was getting more and more disheartened with the way that JK Rowling supposedly saw the ending from the very beginning.I was devastated in the way she ended things. And I think the first time through with reading it, I was not even really paying all that much attention. I just wanted to see if You-Know-Who got what he deserved and I just got lost in all the details. This time around, I paid a lot more attention to details and I WAS JUST AS CONFUSED IF NOT MORE CONFUSED BY THE WAY THINGS ENDED!!!!I was disappointed this time around. It took FOREVER for them to be in the stinking woods and then it was all rushed at the end. That was ridiculous.Marking this one lower than all the rest because I feel like JK Rowling did not give the credit, effort, or time to that last of this installment. Disappointed. There were questions left unanswered:SPOILERS!!!!!What the hell does Harry Potter do now? Where does his family live now? Next to Dobby and Bill and Fleur? Or at Grimmauld Place? What about Kreacher? What about Hermoine and Ron and everyone else? Why didn't Teddy grow up with Harry? I mean why wasn't he just not only over there for dinner four times a week? Why did it take this long for Harry to invite him to live with him and take care of him? You would think that after living a miserable wretched life with the Dursleys he would want to not invoke that on another child, and be the actual GODFATHER he was supposed to be!? And that cliffhanger with the Malfoys? If you're not going to follow up with it Rowling, then end it more sweetly or something else. It made the whole animosity between Malfoy and Potter worthless the way she ended it. And all those people that got killed, the Death Eaters, they ALL had their curses rebounded? Really? When all the fighting was going on not one person the "good" side thought, "hey you know they're shooting killing curses at us and we're just throwing back stunning spells, maybe we should rethink this?" And why did Hedwig have to die? I can't believe I cried that much over an owl! Harry and her were in a row when she died, he never got to make it up to her, that made me so mad, the way he continually treated that animal!! And what on earth happened to the Dursleys? UGH! And who the heck is Victoire?? After having to scourge the internet to find the answer (like really JK Rowling? You couldn't have added another sentence to your tome of a book of nearly 800 pages to explain that one?), I felt royally ripped off! This was not her greatest work! And does Ron and Hermoine take care of Mr and Mrs Weasley now? What about Luna's father? What about Luna? And just ugh! Frustration!!!!
