It was alright. This was only the second book I've ever read by Nicholas Sparks, aside from The Notebook. I am a sucker for German Shepherds and so I rated this one a little higher than I normally would. I did not fall in love with Logan and I truly hated Clayton. None of the characters really did anything for me, even though Nana had the most surprising personality. Overall, it was a typical Sparks novel but not the best ever. Just picked it up because I saw it was going to be a movie and wanted to read the book first.
