For me this one was just ok. I thought Elena was really conceited and that Stefan was just flat. Damon was the only who had dimensions. The storyline was typical girl sees mysterious creepy guy and instantly falls in love and then he tells her to stay away for her own good. Yada yada she doesn't listen and then vampire things happen.Overall, it was a fast read and I'm sure I'll pick up the next one in the series but I'm not raving about this one.Bottomline: No different than any other YA vampire series.
