Now usually, I am a fan of these books. I have never been more apt to not put them down though. In the past, I have always felt if I set it down, I'll come back to it, when I get to it. Au-Contrar my friend! (excuse my lack of spelling in French). This book was so riveting!I usually love the Bill and Sookie couple, but this one! PHEW! Took my breath away!********Spoilers from here on out!!!!**********I LOVED how Eric and Sookie FINALLY got together! I LOVED the HOT sex scenes that were exchanged between them. I could not believe how much I was turned on! This was incredible! And I am not one for harlequin romance novels!!! This was a sex and lust and passion and just pure desire that made such a steamy union between the two I had to mark down those pages for later! LOL Sorry if that was too much TMI! Ms. Harris, you dirty dog you! ;)I could not believe all the action that happened in this book too! There was ALWAYS so much going on, that I truly saw Sookie's kick-ass nature, even though she stuck to her New Year's Resolution! And I literally gasped out loud when Debbie showed up at her kitchen table. I did NOT see that coming!!! I thought something would happen betwixt them in later books. But this was a kick-ass book. Much higher rating than all the others I have read. The only reason I did not rate it a 5 star was because (and I know this is bad of me, but oh well, truth be told) I wanted to see Bill Compton in more of it. But not just because it's Bill Compton (ooohs and aaaahs ladies)but because I wanted to see him suffer. I wanted to see the strife and pain he was going through when he saw Sookie and Eric at the meeting. I wanted to see a wince of pain when he saw them holding hands! I know that's horrible of me and he HAD to go to Lorena and blah blah blah, but c'mon. I wanted to see the guy suffer. See that Sookie CAN move on without AND get someone bigger (hehe) and better than him. Even though Eric's memory did come back after the curse was lifted, Eric was a good man/vampire to Sookie. He does have a heart, even though it doesn't beat. He cares for her and man did he show it! Va-Va-VOOM! LOL.I seriously would recommend this one above all the others. I know you won't get what all the past stuff that has happened, even though Harris does a great job of reminding the readers what did happen, but you miss the small stuff. I really did surprise myself with how much I liked it though. Great story with this one! I'm going to read Dead As A Doornail now. I am sad that Jason is now a were-panther. What a bummer. Cool, but a bummer. I liked him as a tomcat and nothing else. Also, Sookie has got it GOING ON if all these Supes and men are wanting her. Damn girl, work it! Hehe.Quote I Liked: I like the whole book, but the one that stood out the most was this one!"There was nothing I could undo. There was no way I could mend what I had done. I'd had a limited number of choices, and I had to live with the choice I've made." page 261
