Darkfever (Fever Series #1)

Darkfever (Fever #1) - Karen Marie Moning Ok after all the trials and trebulations that I went through to obtain this book to begin with, I have to say it was worth it.Also....this book is CRAZY!!!!I mean full-blooded CRAZY. First of all, people don't even know what to classify it as. Is it romance? YA? Sci-fi? Man, my librarian was so confused when I was asking her. And there really wasn't any real "romance" to begin with! Now don't get me wrong Karen Marie Moning knows how to make a girl blush: especially in chapter 19 with the museum scene, but overall there was no real sex, just desire.I was soooo confused when I read the prologue. I was like ok, just keep going and I'm glad I did. It first started off like Sookie Stackhouse, southern bell working in a bar/waitressing, loves to suntan and then gets thrown into this world within her own world not knowing what to believe.I'm afraid I'll devulge too much more if I keep ranting, but overall this kept me entertained. I don't believe that Moning ever really finished a thought with just this one book, so I'll continue with the rest of them. Her writing style was easy to read and fast. The only thing I did not like was when she referenced to something along the lines of "If only I'd known about this before I actually did it" or "I would found that out later." I forgot that she's sometimes telling us this tale from the future, and looking back on her past. But then within this one book she never touched back on them. The monsters were grosteswue and my imagination was definitely stirred. This is world where I thought it was going to be cliche and like every other supernatural tale. I was surely knocked off my block! Way to go Moning! :)I will keep reading, since I have all of them in from m library like my comments state. So much for starting my spring cleaning today! I need to read the rest of them like NOW!
