I hated this book! I never knew what was going on, and just had to read it because EVERYONE talks about it as if it's the best dystopian classic ever!Waste of my time!Huxley was seriously on crack when he thought of this and when he wrote it! It was TOO wordy and there were times where I had no idea what the heck he was talking about.The soma and how people just popped pills to go on a "soma-holiday." Wow, that's called addiction and dependence on substances.This was just a freaky story. How they created people, or twins I should say, and how they purposely retarded others and then the description of them. I was physically nauseated by them.And what the heck was with the obsession with helicopters??And then the Director just up and left because people found out that he impregnanted a girl, was a father now, and he just couldn't handle it? Ummmm....what about all those KIDS that would go play "hunt for the zipper" and play "feely." DISGUSTING. So it's ok for everyone to have SEX even KIDS, but to be a father or a mother is disgusting. This whole book was disgusting to me. I only read it and finished it so I can honestly say that I read it, unlike some people who just talk about it to let others think they're scholars, and I can actually have an opinion on it. This was the dumbest and freakiest book I have ever read!

I love to read. I tend to read more fiction versus nonfiction. I have a goal to read as many books as I can before the year is up. I like to challenge myself and I also like to discover books that I never would've picked up in the first place. I prefer real books, but lately I have become obsessed with how easy it is to download an ebook on my kindle.
