This book had a very futuristic spin on society. I liked the whole concept of it, but I wish that I could have learned more about the actual operation and HOW they do it. I guess that's the scientific and medicine side of me.It sort of reminded of The Host whenever they were hiding and had their own society in The Smoke.I want to continue the series because he leaves at such a cliffhanger, but at the same time I don't want to be disappointed.This was a very quick and easy read for me. Took less than a day. Westerfeld's prose was good. I just kept getting annoyed with the main character Tally.I know this sounds like such a negative review, but I honestly felt that he could have done a LOT more with this concept.

I love to read. I tend to read more fiction versus nonfiction. I have a goal to read as many books as I can before the year is up. I like to challenge myself and I also like to discover books that I never would've picked up in the first place. I prefer real books, but lately I have become obsessed with how easy it is to download an ebook on my kindle.
